Terms (AGB)

Terms of use

Draft – this text has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and contains placeholders.

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply between you and [COMPANY OR FULL NAME] (“we”) when you use Parare – the app on the web, on iOS and on Android. By creating an account you accept them.

2. What Parare is

Parare lets you plan trips, parties and other events with other people: you create plans, invite a crew and fill the plan with blocks such as ideas, options with votes, to-dos, checklists and a budget, and you can chat. Parare is free of charge at the moment. We may add paid features later; nothing becomes paid for you without your explicit order.

The budget is a planning aid. Parare does not move money, does not book anything and does not check prices – what a trip really costs and who pays whom is a matter between you and your crew.

3. Your account

  • You need an account, and you must be at least 16 years old.
  • Give your real email address and keep your password to yourself.
  • One account is for one person. Tell us if you think someone else is using yours.

4. Plans and crews

The person who creates a plan is its organizer. Organizers invite people, decide what each member may do (edit or vote), can remove members and can delete the plan with everything in it. If you invite someone by email, make sure that person is fine with receiving the invitation. What you add to a plan is visible to its crew.

5. Your content

What you write and upload stays yours. You allow us to store it and to show it to the crew of the plan, as far as this is needed to run Parare; this ends when the content is deleted. Only upload what you are allowed to share – in particular photos you have the rights to and that the people shown in them agree with.

6. What is not allowed

  • Content that breaks the law or the rights of others, harassment and threats.
  • Advertising or messages nobody asked for, including mass invitations.
  • Reading out data automatically, or getting around technical protection.
  • Anything that disturbs the service for others.

If someone breaks these rules, we may remove the content, and block or close the account when the breach is serious or repeated. To report something, write to [CONTACT EMAIL].

7. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Parare running, but we do not promise that it is available without interruption. We may develop the app further and change or remove features, taking your interests into account. Please keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

8. Ending the contract

You can delete your account at any time under Account settings → Delete account. We may end the contract with four weeks’ notice by email; the right to end it without notice for good cause stays. What happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.

9. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law requires it, for example under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only when we breach a duty that is essential for the contract and on which you may rely; in that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for a free planning app. Beyond that we are not liable.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for good reason, for example when the law or the app changes. We tell you about a change by email at least six weeks before it applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date; we will point this out in the message.

11. Final provisions

German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country stay in force. Should one provision of these terms be invalid, the others remain valid.
